Who is Attorney Nancy Stokley Martin?
I am a local, St. Louis bankruptcy and debtor/creditor attorney with the law firm of Jenkins & Kling, P.C. The law office is comprised of 16 attorneys (myself included) and 8 legal assistants. We’re centrally located in Clayton, Missouri and parking is convenient and free.
I offer an initial 30-minute consultation free of charge that can be conducted at the office or over the telephone. This first meeting gives us the chance to introduce ourselves and briefly discuss your case and your potential legal options. Just as I am learning about you during that initial meeting, it’s important for you to get to know me a bit so that you can make an informed decision on whether I am the right attorney for you. Aside from having the skills and experience required for your case, you should feel comfortable and confident in your attorney.
My practice is different from other lawyers in many ways.
Some attorneys delegate their legal work to back office assistants. This allows them to charge artificially low fees and maximize the number of cases that come in the door. But it most often results in a bad experience for the client, and even worse, a failed case.
As you can tell from the structure of Jenkins & Kling, P.C., the attorneys perform the legal work and we are serious about your success and satisfaction. From the initial consultation through to the end of the matter, I will personally handle your case. My assistant, Candace, helps keep me organized and efficient and but I’ll be there to communicate with you, by phone, email, and fax all along the way.
First and foremost, I care about my clients. I enjoy my job and I enjoy practicing law. But there is no greater professional satisfaction than helping my clients realize their goals and dreams… and even surpass them.
When I first meet a bankruptcy client, they’re at a very low point in their lives. They’ve been struggling with debt for a long time and it’s taken a toll on their family life and emotional well-being. I try to offer, not only the legal advice that they need to fix the problem, but also a friendly ear because understanding my client’s experience helps me to be a better lawyer for them.
